Alex Rotundo Joins the Drumheller Dragons

The Drumheller Dragons are pleased to announce the futures of a December 1st, 2016 transaction with the Sherwood Park Crusaders. In exchange for 97 forward Jesse Zaharichuk, the Dragons receive the rights to 98 born forward Alex Rotundo.
Alex Rotundo is a right shot 5’9” 180 lb forward from Edmonton Alberta. In 52 games played last season Alex scored 20 goals and added 31 assists for 51 points. Of the 20 goals Rotundo scored with the Crusaders, 4 were on the power play and 2 were shorthanded. Over two full seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, Rotundo has played 94 games and earned 67 points.
Drumheller Dragons Head Coach Kevin Hasselberg had this to say about the addition of Rotundo “We are excited to add a skilled forward who plays hard in all three zones. Alex plays the game with passion and will provide offense, leadership and depth to our forward group.” 
The entire Drumheller Dragons organization would like to welcome Alex and his family to the Hockey Club. The Dragons will be hosting their Annual Summer Combine in Cochrane Alberta from June 9 – 11th at the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre which will feature current and prospective Dragons players.
