Daneault Commits to Merrimack College

Drumheller, AB: The Drumheller Dragons are excited to announce that 2008 born rookie forward, Easton Daneault, has announced his commitment to play division one hockey at Merrimack College!

Daneault, who hails from Red Deer, has produced 4 goals and 10 points in only 9 games played this season. That is good for 7th in league scoring and first among all 2008 born players in the AJHL. Daneault has been a staple on the Dragons top line, playing alongside Josh Diegel and the AJHL leading scorer Ellis Mieyette. Desipte being just 16-years-old, Daneault plays in all situations for the Dragons and has asserted himself as one of the top players in the league.

The Daneault name and a Merrimack College logo beside it is quite familiar to Dragons fans as Easton’s older brother, Ty Daneault, was one of the Dragons most prolific scorers from 2021-2023. During his two seasons with the Dragons, Ty produced 105 points in 107 games played! Ty is just beginning his sophomore season at Merrimack College after an outstanding freshman year which saw him score 13 goals and 21 points in 34 games played.

We would like to once again congratulate Easton and the Daneault Family on this tremendous accomplishment!
