Daneault Moves Up on NHL Central Scouting

Drumheller, AB: After having one of the best seasons in the 20 year history of the Drumheller Dragons franchise, Ty Daneault has moved up 27 spots in the final version of the NHL Central Scouting Rankings.

In the midterm rankings list that was released in early January, Dragons forward Ty Daneault was sitting at a ranking of 222 among all North American skaters. Following a CJHL Player of the Month award and a strong finish to the AJHL regular season, Ty Daneault was the Dragons top performer and leading scorer in the AJHL playoffs where he recorded 8 goals and 14 points in 13 games. This strong finish to the year jumped him up 27 spots in the final rankings list, as he heads into the NHL Entry Draft with a ranking of 195 among all North American skaters.

The Merrimack College commit will now prepare for the NHL Combine before hoping to hear his name be called during the 2023 NHL Entry Draft on June 28th and 29th in Nashville, Tennessee. We would like to congratulate Ty on his outstanding season as a Dragon and his numerous accomplishments he has received this season!
