Drumheller, AB: We are very excited to announce that Easton Daneault has been named a finalist for the CJHL Rookie of the Year Award!
Daneault was named this year’s AJHL Rookie of the Year as he led all rookies in scoring with 56 points in 54 games played! The Merrimack College commit finished 7th in league scoring and was twice named the AJHL Rookie of the Week throughout the season! Despite being a 16-year-old, Daneault quickly became one of the league’s top two-way players and was a crucial piece to the Dragons forward group playing in all situations. Easton is currently up with the Lethbridge Hurricanes as they battle the Medicine Hat Tigers in the WHL Conference Championship! He also played 6 games over the course of the regular season with the Hurricanes.
Other finalist for the award include Emile Fournier of the Edmundston Blizzard (MHL), Mitchell Kathler of the Portage Terriers (MJHL), Mason Kim of the Mississauga Chargers (OJHL), and Evan Simeoni of the Thunder Bay North Stars (SIJHL).
Congratulations to Easton on this tremendous accomplishment!
