Daneault Wins CJHL Player of the Month

Drumheller, AB: Ty Daneault keeps on adding to his impressive resume this season, as the Dragons forward was just named the 1st Star in the CJHL Player of the Month honours for January.

To kick off the 2023 calendar year, Daneault won the AJHL Player of the Month award for January where he had 10 goals and 11 assists in just 12 games. His 21 points in January led all AJHL players, as he rode a ten game point streak during the month and recorded six multi-point games. Now his spectacular play in January has earned him the top spot in the CJHL Player of the Month rankings.

The Merrimack commit continues to lead the offensive push for the Dragons as they head into the final weeks of the regular season. He sits at 32 goals and 58 points on the year, leading the team in scoring and just one goal away from the AJHL top spot for goals. He is also just seven goals away from the all-time Dragons record for most goals in an individual season, held by former Dragon Dion Knelsen. With his continued success and outstanding offensive production, watch for Ty Daneault to continue to work his way up the NHL Central Scouting Rankings, where he was one of eight AJHL players listed.

Don’t miss Ty Daneault and the Dragons in action at the Memorial Arena as they only have four regular season home games remaining. They will then set their eyes on the 2023 AJHL Playoffs, which begin on Friday, March 10th with round 1 action.
