Dragons and Hawks Finalize Futures

Drumheller, AB: January 2, 2018. The Drumheller Dragons are pleased to announce the futures addition from an October transaction with the Nipawin Hawks. In exchange for 98 born defenseman Gage Misskey, the Dragons have received the rights to 98 born defenseman Josh Laferriere.

Josh Laferriere is a 6’3” left shot defenseman from Wainwright Alberta. In 65 regular season games played with the Hawks, Laferriere totaled 2 goals, 7 points and 83 minutes in penalties.

Drumheller Dragons Head Coach Kevin Hasselberg had this to say about the addition of Laferriere. “Josh has all the abilities to help the Dragons in the back half of the season. He is a dependable defense first player that can move pucks, kill penalties, and play physically. He is a tremendous young man that will be a great addition into the Drumheller community.”

The entire Drumheller Dragons organization would like to welcome Josh and his family to the Hockey Club. The next Dragons home game will be Friday, January 5th when the visiting Canmore Eagles pay visit to the Memorial Arena.
