Dragons come back in Okotoks

Dragons Come Back Big.

Drumheller Dragons win in OT after being down 4-1 after 1st.

The Dragons, on the road to Okotoks to play another tough opponent in the Okotoks Oilers, found themselves in a big hole after the first period on goals by Trey Degraaf, Mitch Collette (2) and Eric Krienke to go down 3-0.  They would eventually get on the board with a PP goal by Hunter Mills making it 4-1 after the first.

The second period saw the Dragons play a much better period  and Curtis Skip made several key saves which seemed to boost the Dragons. Jacob Schofield and Tristan Thompson scored to cut the lead to 4-3 after 2.

In the 3rd period, the Dragons came out with fire in their eyes as Tristan Thompson scored his second of the night to tie the game at 4 a piece. Although there were several good scoring at both ends of the ice it would stay tied and OT was needed.

In OT Mitchell Cook, on a great feed from Brody Valette, tipped the puck past the Okotoks goalie to cap off a great come back from the Dragons.

The Dragons next action is Friday night back in Drumheller as they take on the top seeded Camrose Kodiaks. Gametime is 7:30.
