The Dragons took on the Spruce Grove Saints on Friday, October 26 at the Memorial Arena. The Saints were able to get on the scoreboard at 12:24 of the 1st with a goal from Dylan Richard. The Dragons tied the score at 10:51 with a goal from Ryan Bloom. The Saints added a power play marker at 15:56 from Dylan Hollman, then Mitch McNamara made it 3-1 at the 17:16 mark to end the 2nd period. The Dragons were not going down so easy, they came out strong in the 3rd. At 11:55 Brennan Baxandall with an assist from Chris Rauckman put the Dragons within 1 of the Saints. Mitch Gartner scored the tieing marker from Hunter Mills on the power play at 19:57. This game was then headed to overtime. The overtime format is 3 on 3 for 5 minutes before you head to a shoot out. A shoot out was not needed in this game. It was a short lived overtime, Ryan Aasman made a quick pass to Chris Rauckman who shot up the ice, stepped over the blue line and let a rocket go to beat the Saints netminder, Nathan Park. Dragons won 4-3.
