Dragons Hire New Business Manager

Drumheller, AB: The Drumheller Dragons are excited to announce that they have hired Lee-Ann Jarrett as the team’s new Business Manager! Lee-Ann will begin immediately with the organization in her new role!

Lee-Ann is no stranger to the Dragons organization, as she has been a dedicated billet for the past six seasons and has been very involved in helping with team events and volunteering at games. She has also served as a board member of the Drumheller Minor Hockey Association over the past few years. Her passion for the team and knowledge of the community will make her a great fit for the position.

“Having moved to Drumheller 15 years ago, I quickly found a sense of belonging within the community. For the past six years, I have served as a dedicated billet parent with the Drumheller Dragons, providing a supportive home environment for players and actively participating in team activities and events. I am now proud to serve as the Business Manager for the Drumheller Dragons, where I oversee the organization’s operations, support strategic initiatives, and help foster a positive environment for both players and staff.”
Lee-Ann also added that, “Hockey has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, with family ties spanning generations—my brother played, and I married into a family with a proud hockey tradition of 56 members. At 92, Nonna continues to watch the sport daily, whether live, on television, or online. My son was on skates before the age of two and, now at 15, continues to play with the same passion he has shown since the beginning. Hockey has shaped our family’s daily life, and I am proud to contribute to the sport both on and off the ice.”
In addition to the hiring of a new Business Manager, Boedy Shields (who served as the Director of Operations for the past four seasons) has moved into an advisory role with the team after he took a new position working in the Team Services department with Calgary Sports and Entertainment. Boedy will continue to be involved in both business and hockey operations with the Dragons and help Lee-Ann transition to her new role.
