Drumheller hosted Lloydminster Bobcats last evening in their preseason game at home.
Fans were treated to a very entertaining first period as the Dragons came out storming. This was Drumhellers fourth preseason game, and was their best first period thus far. With speed and intensity the Dragons would control much of the first period.
Second period would see a different Bobcats team as they came out with more intensity and determination, with several good scoring chances. Dragons solid goaltending would have them lead 2-0 at the end of the period.
In the third period the Bobcats would cut the lead to 2-1 but that would be as close as Lloydminster would get as the Dragons would score making it 3-1 in a very fast paced final period.
Curran, “I felt that we came out with great energy and had several good opportunities to score. For the most part I was pleased with the player’s play, for the second period we backed off. We need to learn how to play 60minutes not 45. I was nice to see the amount of people in attendance at this time of the year. I’d like to thank them for their support”
The Dragons are on the road tonight with a rematch in Lloydminster. Game time 7:30pm
