Dragons Make Trade with Oilers

The Drumheller Dragons have acquired the rights of forward Brayden Jenkins ('99) from the Okotoks Oilers for future considerations.

From Calgary, AB, Jenkins played last season with the Oilers as a 16-year-old where he tallied 8 goals and 11 assists in 57 games. Jenkins brings speed and a scoring touch to the Dragons roster and the organization looks forward to having him in a Dragons uniform.

“We feel very fortunate that we were able to acquire Brayden,” said Dragons head coach and GM, Brian Curran. “We made this deal as we lost a couple of our young forwards due to injuries but most importantly I have watched Brayden play and I like the way he competes. He should fit in very well here, and I look forward to working with him.”

Jenkins will be in the lineup tomorrow (September 23) for the Dragons Home Opener vs. the Mustangs at 7:30pm. The annual Home Opener Tailgate Party will precede the game and has been moved indoors to the BCF field house due to the weather.
