Last night saw the Dragons travel to Olds to take on the Grizzlys. This was their first match up in Olds since the Exhibition Season. The Dragons came out with fire for this game. Bryton Mills scored on the power play at 39 seconds of the first. Olds tied it up at 3:03. In the 2nd period the Dragons came out with the same fire as the 1st. Bryton Mills scored on the power play at 8:39 from Baxandall and Gartner. Gartner then blasted one past Olds netminder, Jemieff, on the power play at 11:39 from Baxandall and Bloom. Bryton Mills got his hat trick of the night at 11:35 on the power play from Bloom and Baxandall. Leth scored at 13:38 from Danyluk. This put the Dragons up 5-1 over the Grizzlys. Olds scored at 16:04 on the power play, ending the 2nd period 5-2. Raats got the only goal of the 3rd at 10:39 on the power play from Doane. The Dragons went 5 for 7 on the power play. The Dragons defeated Olds 6-2.
The Dragons now sit in 4th place in the AJHL South just 3pts behind Camrose. Next Dragons action is in Brooks on Friday at 7pm.
