Drumheller, AB: Last night the Dragons fell to the AJHL Regular Season Champion, Calgary Canucks, which brought the 2024-25 season campaign to an end.
The Dragons battled hard but were cursed by injuries and fell in four straight games to the Calgary Canucks, who will go on to play the Grande Prairie Storm in the AJHL Finals. Notable playoff performers included Kai Matthew (3G, 8A), Tristan Payne (5G, 3A), Allen Sherpa (3G, 5A) and Brec Christenson (1G, 7A). The Dragons organization would like to thank the community of Drumheller and all of our great fans who supported us all season long! Our fans, season ticket holders, volunteers, billets, and sponsors continue to play a crucial role in keeping junior hockey alive and well in the Drumheller Valley! Despite being the second youngest team in the AJHL, we surpassed all expectations and made it to the AJHL South Division Finals!
We would also like to wish the best of luck to our graduating players: Tate Yule, Ayden Peters, and Tristan Serrao. They all played a large role in the leadership of the team this season and we wish them nothing but the best in their future endeavors.
As an organization, we are extremely excited for what the future brings for this team and can’t wait to get the 2025-26 season underway!
