Drumheller, AB: After a 2022-2023 season that saw record attendance numbers throughout the regular season and playoffs and one of the most memorable seasons in recent memory, the Drumheller Dragons are set for another big season in 2023-2024! They kick off the season with a northern road trip to face Bonnyville and Lloydminster and then a third straight road game against the rival Blackfalds Bulldogs before finally returning home for the home opener on September 22nd against the Whitecourt Wolverines.
The game kicks off at 7:00pm but not before the pre-game tailgate party barbeque which starts at 6:00pm. It will feature music, food and beverages provided by Freson Bros., and much more! Don’t miss out on all the action and excitement as tickets are now available at tickets.drumhellerdragons.ca.
The Dragons roster will see some new faces and high end recruits that have signed this past off-season, especially on the front end. The Dragons return eleven players this season, highlighted by star forwards Vann Yuhas and Coy Pighin, who will both look to build off tremendous 2022-2023 campaigns. The Dragons also return five defensemen from a season ago, led by RPI commit Easton Adrian who has had a tremendous exhibition season to start off the year. He currently has 6 points in only 3 games. Cyle Clayton, Ryan Henderson, Keegan Beagle, and Tate Yule have also shown that the Dragons defensive core will be a strength of this team for the upcoming season.
