Dragons Spend the Afternoon with Drumheller Youth

On Saturday the Drumheller Dragons spent the afternoon playing games and having fun with Drumheller’s youth at the Badlands Community Facility for the Dragons Meet, Greet & Play. Almost 100 kids took advantage of the opportunity to play floor hockey, run obstacle courses, and play other games with their favourite Dragons.

Raelene Maunula, whose 7-year-old son Chase was beaming after his encounter with goaltender Jonny Hogue at Saturday’s event, commented on how well the Dragons interacted with their young fans. “The players were so great with the kids on Saturday, and we’re lucky to have them as role models in the community.” Maunula said.

The Meet, Greet & Play was organized by Jacy Calon of the BCF, who said the event was so successful that they’re considering making it a twice-yearly occurrence.
