Drumheller, AB- The Drumheller Dragons and St. Anthony?s School are excited to announce the creation of a hockey breakfast academy program for the 2019/2020 school year! This newly designed program will feature (18) morning ice sessions focusing on hockey skill development for players of any level. The program will run from September 11th -January 22nd and feature a 7:15am-8:15am ice time.
The Drumheller Dragons, a member of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, will provide coaches, players, and all resources for the on-ice sessions. Our program will be based on developing skills for hockey players and growing them as members of our community! The Breakfast Academy will welcome 24 players in Novice-PeeWee age groups, or equivalent. A selection process was used to ensure the Academy is made up of students who have demonstrated the following:
-Proven to be a great team member, with a willingness to be attentive & listen to instruction
– A focused student who is a positive influence on the classroom and doesn?t distract other students from learning
– Has always respected the rules and is disciplined in the classroom & on the ice
– Has always stayed on task and remains focused
The first ice session was September 11th and the Dragons are excited about the partnership with the staff, parents, and players from St.Anthony’s School.
