Dragons Win!!
In a season where all teams are so close every win seems to be a playoff type atmosphere!!
The Dragons played host to the Canmore Eagles last night in a very hard fought battle.
Dragons came out strong and had several scoring chances, but at the end of the first, on a goal by Mitchell Cook, the Dragons were up 1-0.
Second period was a much different game as the Canmore Eagles came out very strong and both teams had some quality scoring chances. The Dragons went up 2-0 on a goal from Hunter Mills but a hard working Canmore Team cut that in half when Joe Serpico scored to make it 2-1 after 2 periods.
In the 3rd period the action was fast and furious with both teams playing hard. With good scoring chances at both ends, it was Carter Czaikowski who knotted the insurance marker to make it a 3-1 final for the Dragons.
Both goaltenders played outstanding. Johnny Hogue of the Dragons and Ryan Ferguson of the Eagles gave both of their teams a chance to win.
Next home game will be December 19th vs Camrose Kodiaks and the final game of 2014 on December 22 vs Okotoks Oilers.
