Dragons Win Big!
Dragons faced the Whitecourt Wolverines in a game that saw the Dragons score 6 to go on and win 6-2.
The Dragons had been in a slide as of late in losing 4 in a row and at this time of the season that is not what the coaching staff and the players wanted or needed as they head to the playoffs.
In front of a nice crowd the Dragons who have not been playing bad as of late but crucial turnovers and the Dragons PK had taken a dip in the last several games which has led to this small slump.
It would take a strong effort from all to turn this around and it was the line of Messier, Zaharichuk (4points each) and Mills (2 points) that would take charge in this game and help put the Dragons back in the win column!! Dragons coach had this to say ” It was great to see the boys come out and play strong for 60 minutes against a very fast White Court team and to see the line of Messier, Zaharichuk, and Mills have a strong game in both ends of the rink!” With the win the Dragons have home ice for the first round and will wait to see who they play.
Next home game will be Sunday February 22nd at 2pm vs the Calgary Canucks who are in a tough battle for the final playoff spot.
