Dragons Win Fourth In A Row

The Dragons hosted the Calgary Mustangs Friday, Billet Appreciation Night, continuing their winning streak with a 3-2 victory.  Drumheller have been putting a little bit of a run on at the end of the season with their 4th victory but unlike the game in Calgary on Tuesday where the Dragons won 6-3 the Mustangs came out hard and with a purpose. The home team would win in a shootout with Clint Filbrandt scoring the game winning goal. Dragons Mason Fischer and Chaydan Lauber would also score in front of their hometown crowd who cheered their team off the ice.

Coach Curran,” I thought we played ok but we did not play a smart game as we had turnovers and some bad decisions in our zone with the puck. However I will say that the Mustangs had a lot to do with that as I thought they played a solid game for 60 minutes and gave us everything they had. It's nice to win for sure and it's also nice to build our confidence as we head into the playoffs.”

Drumheller travels to Canmore for their next game, Friday March 4th at 7pm.
