Jordan Taupert is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the week of September 18th – 24th, 2017. In three games played, Taupert scored 6 goals and 3 assists, including 3 powerplay goals and a game winner.
Jordan Taupert, 19, was selected as the Viterra Star of the Game in all three contests last week. “He is a great assest to have on the team,” said Dragons Head Coach and General Manager Kevin Hasselberg. On September 19th, Taupert recorded his first AJHL hat trick with a 5-point game and scored the game winning goal in a 5-1 victory over Canmore. On September 22nd, the Dragons defeated Spruce Grove 4-2 with Taupert scoring a goal and an assist in the winning effort. He closed the week with 2 goals in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Brooks Bandits.
The four-year AJHL veteran from Medicine Hat, AB is in a tight cluster at the top of the AJHL scoring race with 10 points in his first 5 games (6 goals, 4 assists).
