Drumheller, AB: June 12, 2018. The Drumheller Dragons are pleased to announce that former Assistant Coach Brayden Klimosko has been named the new Head Coach and General Manager of the Battlefords North Stars. The North Stars compete in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League another partnering member of the CJHL.
This past season was Klimosko’s first season away from Saskatchewan. From Humboldt Saskatchewan, his greatest achievement was earning national success capturing the Royal Bank Cup in 2008 playing for his home town Humboldt Broncos. From there, Brayden has spent the past 4 seasons as an Assistant Coach, most recently as the Assistant with the Dragons.
“Brayden was a big part of laying the frame work of Drumheller Dragons Hockey in the valley,” says Kevin Hasselberg. “He played a big role in the development of the off-ice training and worked tirelessly in developing the strengths of our defensemen. Brayden was very active in the community and instantly earned respect with his positive attitude and work ethic. I couldn’t be more excited for Brayden in his new opportunity.”
The entire Drumheller Dragons organization would like to congratulate Brayden with this accomplishment and wish him continued success with his new role in North Battleford.
