Nick Sutter Acquired from Spruce Kings of the BCHL

The Drumheller Dragons are pleased to announce the addition of twenty-year-old defenseman Nicholas Sutter to the hockey team. The Dragons acquired Sutter from the Prince George Spruce Kings of the BCHL earlier today in a trade for Future Considerations.

Sutter, the 6’2” left shot defenseman from Spruce Grove played his first two seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League split between the Olds Grizzlys and the Drayton Valley Thunder before joining the Spruce Kings earlier this season. In 88 games played Sutter accumulated 28 points with 8 goals and 20 assists.

Drumheller Dragons Assistant Coach Brayden Klimosko had this to say about the addition of Sutter. “We are excited to bring a veteran player with the experience Nicholas has to the program. He will be a player we can rely on in all situations who will bring stability, intensity, and composure to our back end. We have been looking for an experienced left shot defenseman and we are confident we have found our guy.”

The entire Drumheller Dragons organization would like to welcome Nicholas and the Sutter family to the Hockey Club. Nicholas will be joining the team in time for the next home game scheduled Saturday, October 7th, when his former team the Olds Grizzlys come to town for a 7:30 pm game at the Memorial Complex.
