Drumheller, AB: The Drumheller Dragons are proud to announce that 20-year-old defenceman and three year Dragon, Tate Yule, will dawn the “C” for the team this upcoming season!
Yule, who will be entering his third year with the Dragons, has played 111 career games with the organization and has produced 18 points and 231 penalty minutes. Yule was a force to be reckoned with on the back-end of the Dragons last season, playing key shutdown and penalty kill minutes against opposing teams top lines and players. Yule is know for his physical play, shutdown style of game, and work ethic on the ice. Off the ice, he is everything you could want and then some as a leader. He is well-spoken, community-oriented, positive-thinking, and hardworking. Last season, Tate was also awarded the team’s Community Involvement Award, recognizing his efforts in the community of Drumheller and pushing his teammates to be better people off the ice.
Dragons Head Coach and General Manager, Kevin Hasselberg, stated the following regarding Tate being named the leader of the team moving forward into next season. “We are excited to begin the 2024-25 season with Tate leading the team. Tate brings an abundance of leadership qualities that reflect his character and personality. Above all else, he truly cares about his teammates and will do anything for them and the community of Drumheller!”
On behalf of the Dragons organization, we would like to congratulate Tate on this tremendous accomplishment and couldn’t be more excited to have him lead the team into next season!
