Dragons down the Oilers

The Dragons took on the Oilers last night at the Memorial Arena.  The Dragons got on the scoreboard 1st at 11:33 by Rauckman from Vannucci and Cook.  The Oilers got on the board shortly after at the 12:43 mark.  The Oilers put another one behind Dragons new netminder, Etienne Roy at 18:54 to end the period up 2-1.  The 2nd period saw the two teams battle hard with no one being able to get one past the goalies.  At 10:29 of the 3rd Cavin Leth was able to get one past the Oilers goalie to tie the game at 2.  This game would require overtime and then a shoot out to decide the game.  It came down to the 3rd shooter for the Dragons, Dakota Zaharichuk, before we could put one past Oilers goalie, D'Amico.  The Oilers 3rd shooter was unable to squeak one by Roy, giving the Dragons the win and Roy his first win in the AJHL.  This puts the Dragons 3 pts back of Okotoks in 4th spot in the standings.

Next Dragons action is Saturday as the team travels to Olds to take on the Grizzlys game time is 7:30pm
