Dragons Falter in Final Regular Season Game

Drumheller Dragons played the Kodiaks in their final regular season game last night; unfortunately the outcome was not what the Dragons were looking for as the Kodiaks beat the dragons 5-2.

Dragons came out with a strong start, leading 1-0 within the first few minutes. However it wouldn’t take the Kodiaks long to tie the game and then a PP goal would have the Kodiaks take a 2-1 lead. Camrose was not done yet as they would score one more ending the period 3-1.

Camrose came out strong in the second period scoring to make it 4-1. Dragons scored to make it 4-2 and that’s how the period would end.

The third period saw the Kodiaks score ending the game at 5-2. Coach Curran had this to say, “It is not how we wanted to end the regular season but I was proud of the way the boys played their three games previous to this. We are now excited to start the playoff now knowing we are playing the Olds Grizzlys. The best part of hockey, the playoffs, starts in Drumheller on the 4th and 5th of March and I believe our boys are looking forward to this.”

Next game Wednesday March 4 at 7pm in Drumheller.
