The Dragons started the New Year with a trip to the the North. After ending the first half of the season against the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, and sending the game to a shoot out, the Dragons started the second half the same way. The Dragons travelled to Fort McMurray and took on the Oil Barons last night, Jan 2 The Dragons got on the scoreboard in the 2nd period to take a 1-0 lead with a goal from Tyler Kerner at 13:46. The Oil Barons would tie things up at 9:36 of the 3rd on a power play. This game was then headed to overtime. Nothing was decided in those 5 minutes, so it was time for a shoot out. It was came down to the final shooter for the Oil Barons, and he squeaked one past Beukeboom for the Oil Barons to pull out the win 2-1
The Dragons travel to Bonnyville on Friday to take on the Pontiacs with a game time of 7pm.
Saturday, Jan 5th the Dragons are in Lloydminster to take on the Bobcats at 7pm.
