Drumheller, AB- Jordan Taupert has been a staple of the Drumheller Dragons offence for the past 3 seasons and has now etched his name in the team's history books.
On Saturday November 3rd, Taupert would become the team's all-time leading scorer after a 4-point night in a 7-4 win over the Lloydminster Bobcats. The record of 147pts had been held by long time Drumheller fan favourite Kevin Bui. Taupert, who is playing in his 5th and final AJHL season, would tie the record with an assist on the Brett Edwards goal at the 17:17 mark of the 2nd period. In the third period Taupert would register his record setting 148th Dragons point with a goal at the 13:33 mark, giving the Dragons a 6-3 lead. Less than 2 minutes later he would register his second goal of the game and his 149th career point to finish with 4 points on the night!
Congratulations to Jordan on behalf of the entire Dragons organization and we can't wait to see how high his record gets!
