Drumheller, AB- On Saturday December 15th the Dragons teamed up with the Drumheller Salvation Army for the annual “Tennis Ball Toss”. With the Christmas demand extremely high for the group, every penny collected was extremely important. The Salvation Army is currently gearing up for over 150 families who will be provided with food and toys this holiday season and to restock the food bank shelves.
Dragons fans were quick to snatch up a ball, put some cash inside, and in the first intermission the ice was full of the bright yellow tennis balls. When the tennis balls were emptied and counted, $610 was raised!
Thank you Drumheller and Dragons fans for continuing to support this great cause. We were thrilled to surpass last years total funds raised in this 2018 campaign.
