Drumheller, AB: Fresh off announcing his signing with the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League, Easton Daneault has been named the AJHL Rookie of the Week for his great play on the Dragons most recent road trip!
Over the course of the three game road trip which saw the Dragons pick up wins over the Fort McMurray Oil Barons and the Bonnyville Pontiacs, Daneault produced five points with a goal and four assists. The bulk of that came in the Dragons big 6-4 win over the Oil Barons on Friday night, where the Merrimack College commit had a four point night and was named the first star of the game.
This season Daneault has exceeded expectations and then some with 29 points in 30 games played. He leads all 2008 born players in the AJHL in scoring and sits third on the Dragons scoring lead, behind his line mates Bradley Gallo and Ellis Mieyette.
