Drumheller, AB: The Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) has just announced the 2022-2023 All-League Team and without surprise, Dragons forward and top scorer Ty Daneault has been named to this list. He joins forwards Aiden Fink (Brooks Bandits) and Conyr Hellyer (Okotoks Oilers) as the three forwards selected from the South Division team. Tanner Willick (Blackfalds Bulldogs), Sam Court (Brooks Bandits), and goaltender Ethan Barwick (Brooks Bandits) round out the All-League team for the South Division. These selections are voted on by all General Managers and Coaches of the AJHL.
Daneault, who will be off to Merrimack College next season, had one of the most impressive seasons in Dragons history. He finished the year with 37 goals (just two shy of a franchise record) and 65 points in just 53 games played. He joins elite company as one of only three players from this All-League team to be ranked by NHL Central Scouting, as he joins two Brooks Bandits in Aiden Fink and Sam Court.
Don’t miss out as Ty Daneault and the Drumheller Dragons continue this first round playoff matchup with the Canmore Eagles. Daneault currently leads the Dragons in playoff scoring, as he has two goals and four points after the first two games of this series. He was named the games first star during last Saturday’s game two victory, as he potted two powerplay goals in the team’s 5-1 victory over Canmore. Game five goes Friday night at the Memorial Arena with a start time of 7:00pm.
