Drumheller, AB: The Drumheller Dragons are excited to announce the 2020/2021 leadership group. This group will consist of three first-time captains who will make up the 18th leadership group in team history.
Myles Hilman- ?C?
Hilman, who turns 17-years-old tomorrow, will wear the ?C? in his second season as a Dragon. The 5?9? forward from Blackfalds, AB has already committed to the University of Omaha-Nebraska(NCAA) and is coming off a stellar rookie campaign with 28pts in 47GP. His work ethic on and off the ice has improved him as a player and helped define the culture inside the dressing room.
Aiden Yakimchuk- ?A?
Yakimchuk is the only 20-year-old on the Dragons roster this season and the team will rely heavily on his experience. Yakimchuk served as an alternate captain last year and will continue in that role in his final AJHL season. Yakimchuk?s leadership goes beyond the rink with his commitments to education and off-ice training.
Grayson Dietrich ?A?
The 2001-born forward is also entering his second season with the Dragons. Dietrich notched 23pts in 51GP in his rookie season, but his work ethic enabled him to elevate his game as last season went on. The native of Calgary, AB will serve as an alternate captain for this first time in his AJHL career.
Kent Anderson ?A?
Anderson, who doesn?t turn 17 until November 13th, is entering his 2nd season as a Drumheller Dragon. His rookie season was one that didn?t go unnoticed, as he was able to secure a NCAA scholarship to the University of Denver this past off-season. He registered 23pts in 56 games and quickly became an elite player and leader on the ice.� Anderson will serve as an assistant captain this season and will continue to be a big part of the Dragons blue line.
