Dragons Aquire Goaltender Cale Elder From Bobcats

Drumheller, AB: September 22, 2019. The Drumheller Dragons are pleased to announce the acquisition of 19-year goaltender Cale Elder from the Lloydminster Bobcats. In a transaction announced by Coach/ GM Kevin Hasselberg, the Dragons receive the rights to Elder in exchange for Future Consideration.

Elder played his first full season of Junior A hockey with the Bobcats last season. The 6?1 netminder from Saskatoon Saskatchewan posted a 4.12 GAA and an .880 save percentage in 31 starts as a rookie. Elder was a top recruit for the Bobcats after posting a .930 save percentage with the Prince Albert Mintos in the Saskatchewan Major Midget League. In 30 starts Elder maintained a 1.94 GAA during the 2017-18 season.
