Dalin Hannah, a grade 2 student at St. Anthony’s School, won the chance to bring his favourite Dragon to school through the Chinook Financial Junior Dragons program. His choice: goaltender Jonny Hogue. The pair spent Thursday morning together in Cheryl Straub’s class, much to the delight of both Hannah and the rest of his classmates.
“I want to say what a wonderful, young man Jonny is.” Straub commented, “I put him to work during our center time reading stories and discussing ‘generosity’. He took on the task with ease and totally exceeded my expectations. He was very engaging and the students loved having him come in, myself included. Jonny is a great role model to the young kids in our community!”
