Drumheller, AB: October 8, 2018. The Drumheller Dragons have completed a trade with the West Kelowna Warriors of the British Columbia Hockey League acquiring the CJHL rights of Calgary prospect James Philpott.
Philpott played last season with the Calgary Buffaloes in the Alberta Midget Hockey League contributing 13 points in 34 games. The 6’1 180-pound 18-year old defender has played 5 games this season with the Warriors and a combined 11 games total of junior hockey as an affiliate with the Canmore Eagles last season.
The Drumheller Dragons would like to welcome James and his family to the Drumheller Dragons Hockey Team. James will be on the ice in time to practice with his new team on Tuesday in preparation for the first long road trip of the season up north to Grande Prairie.
