Wed, Jan 23 the Dragons were host to the Canmore Eagles. The first period saw alot of end to end action with chances for both teams but Beukeboom and Swabb stood tall in the net and no one could beat them. The second period saw the Dragons get into some penalty trouble which the Eagles capitalized on. The Eagles scored 3 power play goals. At the end of the 2nd period the Eagles were awarded a penalty shot which they capitalized on as well. This ended the second period with the Dragons down 4-0. The Dragons, Ryan Aasman finally got the Dragons on the board at 5:10 of the 3rd period. The Eagles however were not done with the Dragons yet, they scored at 18:46 to put the game out of reach for the Dragons. The game would end with the Eagles winning 5-1 over the Dragons.
Next action for the Dragons is on Friday, Jan 25th when we travel to Brooks to take on the Bandits at 7pm. We will NOT be sending a fan bus as there was not enough interest. Please keep in mind as we will try again for playoffs.
