Hasselberg Becomes All-Time Games Coached Leader

Drumheller, AB: This past weekend, Head Coach and GM Kevin Hasselberg became the all-time leader in games coached for the Drumheller Dragons organization. He passed former coach Brian Curran to take sole possession of the top spot on that list.

Hasselberg, who is in his sixth season as the Dragons bench boss, has led the team to a 167-98-17 record while setting a franchise record in the 2018/2019 season for single-season wins. During that season, he was also named a finalist for AJHL Coach of the Year. Kevin is known for his dedication to the team and players, as he always strives to develop great players and even better individuals.

Prior to working for the Dragons, Hasselberg spent time with the Olds Grizzlys of the AJHL, Battleford North Stars of the SJHL, and Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL. Earlier this season, Kevin had surpassed over 1,000 games coached in Junior A hockey.

Congratulations, Kev!
